Some minor additions in regards to the peripheral tunic finds from Haithabu harbour.

Some minor corrections in regards to grave Bj644B from Birka and fragment 57 from Haithabu.

Significant rewrite of the entire article in order to

• add references to sources in the text
• better separate archaeological facts and interpretations
• move all finds that are not serk fragments into the category of peripheral finds
• add an index to make navigation easier

In addition, I updated the article with the recent research on the material in the serk, added new information regarding the Pskov serk, and rewrote the chapter on other reconstruction patterns to take into account some of the reconstructions of pleated serks that have been created the last years.

March 10th 2014

Added information about blue serk fragments from Hyrt and the interpretation problems surrounding the serk fragments from Køstrup. Rewrote some of the text for clarity (without adding new content),and moved the Eura find into minor finds. Finally, I rewrote the text about my reconstruction of the Birka serk and added information about my reconstruction of the Haithabu serk.
